Derek has over 18 years of experience in the construction industry. He began his career in the trenches rebuilding following Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. He holds a BA of Arts degree from The Art Institute of Nashville and is state licensed in both residential and commercial building. Derek's expertise lies in his comprehensive understanding of building, management, and design and how they intersect. He understands that successfully completing projects requires proficiency in both "swinging a hammer" and the big picture of coordinating people, schedules, and resources. His team appreciates his collaborative yet decisive approach to problem-solving that ensures projects are completed on time and on budget.
